SAFE FOR SUMMER |
||
|
Dear Residents,
On 24 June, your local Neighbourhood Policing Team delivered a school visit at St Agnes School, speaking with Year 6 pupils who are preparing to leave for high school.
During the visit, officers ran an interactive session focused on staying safe over the summer holidays. A key part of the discussion was water safety, where we highlighted the risks associated with open water such as reservoirs, canals and other bodies of water. While these areas may appear safe, they can present hidden dangers that can lead to serious injury.
The students engaged really well throughout the session, asking thoughtful questions and taking part in discussions about how to keep themselves safe, as well as what to do if they or others find themselves in difficulty.
Overall, it was a positive and enjoyable session, with pupils demonstrating a good understanding of the advice provided. This is the first of several school visits planned by the team, with another session taking place shortly as we continue our work to support young people in the community.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
